Transnational Think Tank Networks in the EU

How is economic policy driven by epistemic communities in the EU?

Today we have a paper which complements Dr. Dieter Plehwe's earlier presentation on the influence of pro-austerity think tanks and economic actors in the crafting of fiscal policy in Germany. Dr. Plehwe is a Research Fellow at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and Visiting Fellow at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES) at Harvard University, and this paper explores the network of pro-austerity think tanks in the EU and how they have contributed to shaping economic policy in the region.
