Introducing CRESS Fellow - Farhana Khanam
Farhana Khanam is an Economics student specializing in econometrics and health economics. Because Farhana is currently working at the RDC, she is able to use data from Statistics Canada for all three chapters of her Ph.D. dissertation, which examines different aspects of access and utilization of health by immigrants to Canada. She is supervised by Dr. Arthur Sweetman.

Farhana is excited to advance the analytical skills needed for her program of research and for the academic, public, private and non-profit sector job markets. Khanam is also moving on the job market this year and is looking to “gain more exposure to empirical research.
