Congrats & Kudos

Kudos to Dr. Victor Kuperman, Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Languages, the Canada Research Chair in Psycholinguistics, and the Director of the Reading Lab at McMaster University, for the first peer-reviewed paper publication from the framework of his RDC project! 

The paper, "Effects of Linguistic Distance on Cognitive Skills, Health, and Social Outcomes in Canadian Immigrants", was published in Frontiers in Political Science and used data from the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC). You can read it HERE.

Portrait of Canadian Society - Impacts of Rising Prices (PCS-IRP)

The purpose of Portrait of Canadian Society (PCS) survey series, Statistics Canada's new data collection project, is to provide a better understanding of social issues more quickly, while reducing the cost of data collection. The 'Impacts of Rising Prices' is the third wave of this survey series, with the purpose of helping us better understand how the rising cost of basic needs such as food, transportation and housing is affecting Canadians' spending behavior and their ability to meet day-to-day expenses.
